I'm leaning toward an 18' Koffler Baybee out of Eugene Oregon. Similarly priced as an Alumaweld, but thicker aluminum all the way around w/ some custom features that Alumaweld does not offer.

I agree. Paint has no value other than looks. I've heard when aluminum oxidizes that it's a chemical occurrence and actually preserves the aluminum (if u can get past the looks).
