Re: overnight in below freezing temps
Leave it down in the water. if it is going to freeze and you leave it in the water dont leave it too long where ya can't remove the boat till the water surrounding the boat thaws  If it is on the Trailer leave it down. The water will drain out of the motor by the lower leg. If it is removed fro...

Re: Pitting and Corrosion on Inner Bottom of Hull
Yes the treated wood and the foam helped hold the water next to the plate. The corrosionX might not stop the Corrosion much might even accelerate it due to the encapsulation of the corrosion. Lack of Oxygen. Aircraft use LPS 3 or Dinatrol in their bilges. A wax type of product that seals water out. ...

Re: Pitting and Corrosion on Inner Bottom of Hull
Hopefully you used screws to hold your new floor in. When a hole develops fix it and use it some more. Now that you cleaned it and did not reinstall the foam your boat will be fine. Keep it drained and throw some soap in the bilge every once in awhile to neutralize the acid content in it. Your frien...

Re: Robotics not all that far away!
I agree with Chaps. Robots are reducing the amount of skilled labor needed. They are coming down the pike fast. I will sound Liberal for a minute but the Middle class is disappearing because of them. Labor Cost go down and less disposable income for the masses. While they are fine tuning the machine...

You got the OG issue cleared up with the Fish and Dog Porn Posted.
Back to the Technical stuff. One question; is the motor controlled by a Computer or is it still a Mechanical Operated Diesel? Meaning shut off the engine you just have to cutoff the Fuel. Simple System operation!

Re: Bow Eyes
Bob that is true but you need a chunk of .750" plate plus a band saw to fabricate one. Buy it in a casting ready to go on and be welded it will save you time that equals money. Rick I did post on Bobs new thread the info on the bow eye. Fraser has them in stock. If you want to make one the info...

I agree that the Small Dia. blade Might not be the right blade for your boat. The motor set at the right height? Original Prop ever been damaged? Modified? The Numbers don't jive. Your Prop Change should have bumped your RPM up to around 5600, not 6000. Got a buddy with a 15.25 X 17 prop that you ca...
