Re: Reel Cleaning and PM

I did not realize that water would seep so deep into the backing. Is there a wax or something to protect the bottom of the spool???? Thanks Mark 2325 Wa Pacificski...

Re: I THINK WE NEED A BIG ALLOY BOAT INSTEAD OF A STYRO FOAM CUP
Yeah that's awesome but need a winch installed, save your back.......hmm Maybe jay could work that in as an add-on. A winch install in the floor with a door and a metal roller. Then all you need to do is hook and pull. guess you would need a water proof door normally. Could even wire controls on th...

FWIW That tuna was taken off of Cape Cod, MA this year by one of the best tuna charter captains in our harbor/area, Capt.Nat Moody. The fish weighed 712 lbs and was taken on a stand up 50W by one of his sports (one of 3 tuna they took that day) after a 90 minute battle. Nat is one of the nicest, mos...

Re: Tuna Petition
In late Oct and early Nov 2009 the commercial guys had a good bite off Chatham and landed fish to 1200lbs+. Unfortunately I had already pulled the boat and was off chasing bambi in the woods. This is the 2nd year the big fished showed in that area but it was a parking lot out there once the word spr...

Re: Good News concerning MWTs
Does pumping fish increase the survival rate, if its the wrong targeted species? No..the majority of the fish will be dead once they hit the deck. The point is that no longer will these boats will be able to dump a tow that is full of unwanted specices (ie cod haddock bass) and not be held accounta...

Re: Where Giants Roam !
The fish off the Cape right now are real giants in the 700-900+lb range. Anyone fishing for these has one purpose and thats to sell them. The longer you fight a fish the less it is worth. While it may be possible to land one on a standup it will be only good for fertilizer by the time it hits the de...
