We actually hang out a lot of times on a swim platform. My brother has been known to fish right there. Sometimes he stands on top of the transom cap.

He does have a little Monkey in him. HeHe

I'm not a Big fan of this setup. Big Time trip hazard! http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg182/JETTYWOLF/PICT0003-1.jpg I'd just have that welded in the bottom of the boat or go to Marline type scoop- Seacock. It always makes me laugh at people that are scared to put a hole in the bottom of their b...

"From the Pix", it look's to high. Look at the inboard side. It looks like it is to high there, so the whole thing will have to be lowered.

But again, It's from looking at "That" pix.

See how the hull bottom protrudes 3/4" past the aft vertical plate? I'm wondering if water/air comes around that corner and races upward creating air pockets?
Nay, That's not a problem.

Dave you have a couple of options. Get them from the factory and have them welded on local by a T-top fabricator or just have the fabricator create and weld them on for you. You will have to weigh the pricing out, but if you wanted some little extra or styling change then the fabricator would be my ...

Sorry, I don't. Drop the leading edge to 1/4in below the hull surface and the aft edge just slightly lower if you can.

You guy's had asked a question about Nats boat. I do some install work here in Pensacola and did the install on Nats boat. I wanted to put a tilted element unit in his boat and found a easy access to get to it. I then called Jim @ BOE and talked to him about the plastic units. He told me they were o...

I question the 9.9 Mercury Bigfoot on a 27ft high windage boat?

I know a 25 Mako w/ no T-top was a waste of time to hang a 10hp kicker on. This was in the Gulf.

My friend in Mich. uses a 25hp as a kicker on a 22 Mako.

I just wish you didn't downsize the pixs so small. The should be 640 X 480.

These are 300 X 225 . Once you downsize them, you can't upsize them again. You would have to delete them in Photobucket and upload them again, then downsize to the correct size.

Yeah, I hear the Zuki controls can be by "wire" Only for the DF-300. These are '03 DF-140's. I love the setup. Not one second of a problem. If you look at this pix you will see there is no place to put a 2nd twin stick control at the lower helm. So Fly -by - wire was the only way to go to...

I bet it was someones attempt at a small project to get their feet wet in the building process before moving onto building a full size boat.

Thanks to both Dave's. That project represents 5yrs of my life. There were no drawn plans. It's all in my head. There were just a few things farmed out. The motor bracket was bought. The Crows nest was done by a local shop. [I wouldn't let them mount it.] The Powdercoating on the Crows nest. Everyth...

When you say"clean" do you mean from dirt? There is probably no efficient way to remove this stuff either. Take a look on the left side of the windless. Dirt is just ground into the surface. It will not come clean. That's just one spot of many. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/Warth...

You can never have too big of an access to the bildge, can you? Amen! I used the Durabak. I got some bad batch stuff. It stayed sticky for years. Lay a wrench on it for overnight and it would stick to it. They sent me some new product, but no compensation for my 16hrs of taping and materials. I did...

For a boat that is going to a warm climate. This type of window in the windshield would be needed. http://www.wynneinc.com/Model230Pic1.jpg When you open a window like this it will create a vortex thru the pilothouse to keep you cool. This split style window would cut down on such a big opening. [we...

A lot of you know me already. I don't own a alum boat. I have worked on one and have been very impressed with the work of The Pacific /Black Lab boats.
