So if Boat A is 28' long with a 7' chine, and Boat B is 28' long with an 8' chine, and both are powered equally and have the same deadrise, which boat will be the most fuel efficient? Which boat will ride more comfortable?

fisherman, there are a few aspects to hull shape that might be in your remarks? are you discussing the topsides in the after 2/3's of the hull or the forward 1/3 of the hull? I've noticed some builders angle the sides of the boats out, while a few have vertical sides. What are the reasons for these differences? Pluses and minuses?
