Guess its time for an electric winch. I wouldn't put it on the trailer just under the tires.

I bet the same look I get when we leave a filets for the foxes and other wild life. I'm a kinda conservationist nothing should go to waste. I never had my head in this mood until my city starting charging to taste bags at 4 for 7.50. I went from 2 bags of trash a week to 1 bi-weekly and 4 boxes of r...

Re: Trailer Box
EWWW shine Y! AT I picked up some rubber out side mats, same stuff that play grounds (ground) is made out of. The company spraying it on a new schools play ground gave me some samples. Might want to check into it. I think walymart sells it now too. I noticed you park your boat on rock/dirt. I do tha...

Re: Pacific Repairs & Modifications
Its funny you posted your finding of the trailer bunk problem and the corrosion the under skin. I just swam under my boat two weekends ago looking for this same problem. I didn't find any. Plus I was checking my rivets. Maybe its because I dunk my boat into a local lake and run the outboard after ev...

Re: Spotted at Cape Cod Canal
Sorry, the picture is not mine. I was just looking things up on the web and found the site with this picture.

But I was down at the canal. I think I going to try and go again this coming week.

Re: batteries
All the AGM batteries allow you to do is place the battery sideways with the terminals on the side. Makes its easier to fit tight areas. There is NO advantage changing to AGM vs old acid style. They are the same old style battery just with a gel and thin fiber mat inside.

Re: batteries
I would have checked the water level filled with distilled water if needed and charged both batteries. The battery selector should be set to OFF when the boat is not in use. Also make sure the bilge pump is hard wired to a battery, or both in parallel, "before the switch", direct to the ba...

Didn't you hear? Obama is not letting people fish anymore
The Obama administration has ended public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing some of the nation's oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters.

Re: rebuilding a 21' STARCRAFT
Wood on the outside? there should be no wood on the outside. The only wood on that boat should be the transom and floor.
These boats stand up to salt water fine when you trailer them. Just wash them down after each use. I just drop mine into the local lake and run it on the trailer.

Looks like someone added some support to the center rails with cross braces too. Also looks like its starting to rust and react with the aluminum.

Re: rebuilding a 21' STARCRAFT
Well looks like a good clean stale to start with. I would get all that crap out and start checking the rivet since you have easy access to them. Also check the center run front to back and make sure there is no crap at the ribs. This is how the water drains. I would check the transom, if it needs to...
