Just bought a tin boat (Crestliner 22 1/2 Eagle)

I am new to the forum, thought I would introduce myself. I just picked up a project boat, its a 1994 Crestliner 225 Eagle walk around buddy cabin. The guy I bought it form had removed the motor and out drive. My plan is to replace the transom with solid sheet of aluminum and hang a Gil bracket. Totally replacing the IO with a 4 stroke outboard.

I got a great deal the boat and trailer was $700.00

I figured out how to upload the files. I think I really stole the boat at $700.00 for the boat and trailer. The paint looks like crap, the deck needs replacing and she needs lot's and lot's of love. I picked up the Gil Bracket on Craig's list for $450.00

NICE pics. Now there is something that still needs to be done to the boat. You either need to polish the rest of the boat to match the transom or scuff up the new transom to match the rest of the boat, HA-HA. SCREAMING deal at $700 as long as it floats when all said & done. Keep the pics coming. Have an outboard yet???

I have a 1981 19' Sea Squirt bay boat that came with a 2004 Suzuki 115. The motor only has 100 hours on it, I am thinking about hanging it off the back of the Crestliner. It will be a little under powered but I never in a real big hurry. The hull from the factory with the 135hp inboard/outboard weighed 3100 pounds.

Still not positive this is what I am going to do, I may sell the Sea Squirt complete and buy another outboard, Figure I have a bunch of work to do before I need to worry about hanging an outboard.
