Flashers in the House

#1

Post by goatram »

I just Noticed a friend of mine is the newest member #1068 here. His Name is Ken aka Flasher. He makes the Jim's Breakaway Flashers. I have a few of them. I will say if you use flashers to catch fish try one of his in your favorite color. (he does custom ones as well. Check out the Sawed Off one, real special and it does catch fish) He is also the owner of Qcove Fishing Tackle.

So I am done :deadhorse: Welcome Ken

Les I sent him a text right after I posted it. He Just signed a deal with Cabelas to sell his Jim's Breakaway Flashers there. He did say that the Great Lakes use different Colors while trolling for King Salmon then here in the PNW. Hopefully the Koolaid will commence flowing there and in Alaska.

Koolaid = Drink from the Cup and you will be forever changed.

Thanks guys for the "warm" welcome.

A little about me... I am located in the Marysville, WA area and I run a 2484 Sea-Raider, built by Raider boats of Colville, WA. My boat is 4 years old with twin Evinrude 115 engines with 1020 hours on each engine. I fish mostly in the salt, very little in the fresh waters. I target Salmon of course (owner of Qcove Fishing Tackle), Lingcod, Halibut, Rockfish, Crab, Shrimp and one of my favorite fish to chase down…. Tuna.

I own two companies, one is Qcove fishing tackle, the other is Construction Connections where I help people work through the waterproofing of their buildings (Building Envelope Consultant)… Well, the construction market has been down for a few years, so I am spending most of my time developing new colors for the flashers that I make, and building the tackle in my shop (formerly my garage).

What I hope to gain from AAB is a better understanding of how some people have their boats rigged. I am currently undergoing several projects on my boat, and with the help from Goatram, I hope to get most of them done this winter.
I look forward to going through the old posts, taking a look at what has already been said and chatting with all of you.
Well, off to watch football in a turkey induced haze…. Maybe a drink or two also!

Flasher!
