Doogy from the Great lakes

#1

Post by doogymon »

Hi Folks

I really like the Bayrunner boats but they seem to cling to the West Coast.

How can a guy get a used 16-18 Bayrunner without having to drive to the Pacific?

A tin boat with some sheer, no interior panels and access to bilge is what I'm after.

Starcraft and the like have reverse sheer and are shaped like cars...lol.

I want a boat that looks like a boat and I don't have to fuss with it.

Great site.

Cheers & Thanks

Doog, WELCOME to AAB

Bayrunners are kind of a West Coast thang... If you give Kenny a call at , Tradewinds 949-631-7334 , Tell him Les said to call . Kenny had 1 or 2 used at the shop when I was there in Oct. and I know he had some killler deals on new ones.

Shipping shouldn't be too bad to the GL's.

Oh Yeah, the newer hulls are a LOT TOUGHER than the old ones.

Thanks Welder (Les)

I like a boat with bows.

The UK and Australia (and of course the Left Coast) seem to have the type of boats I like.

You'd think there would be a market for practical , seaworthy non-nonsense boats boats out east.

Going to check out Kenny's web page.

Cheers & Thanks again.

I believe that Bayrunners are made by Klamath boats. I like the Klamath boats, but I wanted a heavier gauge hull. So I bought a new Alumaweld-and I live in Florida. If you find a boat you like, find a dealer buying West Coast boats, and ask him if you can include your boat on a shipment at his cost.
