Took me a while to find this place... I was not looking that hard.

Thanks for a great site and all the information out there...

For myself. I have a 37' Striker. Not in the best shape it has seen but not the worst. Sort of a project for me... Looking forward to fishing the junk out of it.

Again, thanks for the site.

37 Strikers are gorgeous boats - I saw one in a yacht listing that had been restored and modernized and . . . still cleaning the drool off my keyboard.

Welcome! And thank you very, very much for your service to our country.

Let's see some photo's......because all I hear is, "Ya' know there 's a big sportfish that aluminum too."
Yeah, I know is what I answer but fail to see any.

Us alloyists are an illusive bunch.

If it's painted, no one ever knows it's alloy, right????

WELCOME...our first STRIKER :!:

Sorry for the late reply everyone and thank you very much for the welcomes...

As for my service... Give credit where credit is due. These young men and women of the armed service... My gosh they are great Americans... I am an old washed up Special Operatons Guy. (Recon Marine) Did some of the stuff and got out... I am just here ot help support them and get my soon to be step-son home and others loved ones home as fast as I can.

Here is a pic of the project boat...

Thank all of you for this great site.

John

To ADD since I can not follow simple directions.

Welcome! Good to have another Marine around.

For members here on the board that might not know their military stuff - Force Recon is the Marine Corp's rough equivilent of Navy Seals and Army Green Beret's (special forces). These buggers are tough as sh*t and do absolutely crazy things (Think of jumping out of a plane at 30,000 feet in the middle of the night...)

Lots of us served our country but did so in air conditioning and wih a cup of hot coffee - guys like John have really done something special.

John, we're building a new boat down the road from you in Palacios www.rocksaltboats.com

My business partner also completely restored a 44' Striker and has a 37' down to bare metal awaiting restoration. Stop by for a visit next time I'm down - I'll buy the beer.

Again, welcome.

Hi John,

Love the boat!

Special Ops- is that similar to our (Australia) SAS guys? They certainly are our "Nation's Finest".

I didnt get my striker out of the water till last year.I had lots of engine work to do to it like get the heat exchangers rebuilt.all new risers and added external oil coolers and replaced all black rubber hoses with blue silicone, plus built 2 stainless steel exhaust pipes and had to replace the starboard cutlass bearing while the boat was in the water.I motored it up the icw 358 miles to the port of sanford and had her hauled out right before hurricane matthew hit us.I plan on wet blasting the whole hull down to bare metal then repainting with polyurethane aerospace paint.im trying to add some pics, what do i click on to do it?
