Finally have my own aluminum boat

#1

Post by OceanTrvlr »

I've been thinking, and dreaming, about aluminum boats for a long time and, I've perused this forum for a long time, learning and gathering information from this vast knowledge base. I thank you all for helping me get to the point of having a plate aluminum boat.

I recently took delivery of this 28' Almar RAIV built by North River Boats. They've developed, over the years, quite the gold standard for my kind of work and I'm happy to finally own one. I've answered a lot of my questions by searching this forum but, I'm sure I will have many questions going forward.

Thanks for having me.

Ethan

Yes, I am. South Shore of Boston.

The build of this boat was super stressful trying to attend to every detail. But NRB was great to work with and I'm very pleased with the results. Next step for me is arranging bottom paint.

Haha! Yep, seen that photo before. And to be honest, I HAVE gotten my own towline in my props. It's like one of those "It's not a matter of IF, but WHEN." kind of things in this business.
