Fishing for Rock cod and halibut south of San Diego.

We fished live bait for rock cod in 300' of water and for halibut in 100' of water (see link below). All fish were caught using either straight 30' mono or 65' spectra with a top shot of 30' mono. It was a fun day on the water on our Pacific 26ST.

Nice fish , the last time I caught Salmon Grouper was in 89 on the Tanner/cortez banks

We use photobucket here to post pics it works real well.

I used to live down that way . . . call 'em what ever you want (salmon grouper) but we called them what they were . . . Slimy's!

Hah, I do miss the fishing down there but not much else (OK, the weather was a bit better too)
