What Line do you prefer

I like 20lb pink ande on my Penn 750ssm's and 40lb on my TLD25's

Let's here it............and I mostly direct tie to hook with said line's.

Always Stren or Berkely Super braid lines....I got a hook-up with them. In 50# because its that same diameter as 12-14# mono.

I have been using 20lb P-line for several seasons. I like it for salmon. For jigging I have been using various spectra braids and for halibut I have been using 100 lb Tuff line.

For light personal use, either an 8wt fly line with 12# tippet, or 15# mono to play with the spring kings.

For "heavier duty" charter use, I keep my salmon reels spooled up with 25# Mono in chartreuse... it's the only color I can see against the dark green evergreen background here...

Bottom fishing gets interesting... 80 or 100# Tuf-Line, but be sure it's the 100% Spectra stuff, not the blend. Our shark reels are spooled up with Cabela's house brand Dyneema braid (yellow) in 130#, and I think I've got 80# Spectra on the Sablefish rigs, but only because it was the cheapest of the alternatives... 1100 yards per reel, and the braid gets pricey fast!

Anyone still using wire on their down riggers, or has everyone switched over to the braided line now?

Bottom fishing solid Spectra POWER PRO with 100% of the spools filled with the stuff, I dont use any more than a 4' mono or Florocarbon shock leader: I like....
30# for fluking,
50# for Tuna Jigging on my Travala/Torium 30s
65# for Bass eeling and cod/blackfish bottom fishing

For my trolling Rod setups, I use Jerry Brown Hollow Core Spectra line on the bottom with a couple hundred yard Momoi Mono top shot as follows:

My Finnor 20s have 600 yards of J.B. 60# with 250yards of 30# Momoi Glo Green Mono

Finnor 30Ws have 900yards of J.B. 60# with 150yards of 50# Momoi, gray mono

Altechnos 50s, have 700yards of J.B. 80# and 200 yards of 80# Momoi mono

Altechnos 80s, have 1750 yards of J.B. 130# with 150yards of 130# Momoi Mono top shot.

Momoi is the best mono for me and by far the Jerry Brown is the best hollow core with Power Pro just fine for solid spectra.

I bottom fish with either 50 or 30lb braid. 200lb braid on the DR.

For Mono I use Momoi Hi Catch Diamond

For Braid only the best....Jerry Brown both solid and hollow core

For Fluro....Premium Seaguar

Line is the most important part of your gear without it all you have in your hands are expensive line holders.
