Catalina Island...

#1

Post by S L Dave »

I am bad with taking pictures. I know I should do it more. So I went to Catalina for a few days on a very nice 60 ft yacht fisher. We caught tons of fish but nothing picture worthy. A few short white sea bass...about a hundred small calico bass...we had to fight the schools of mackerel to get our bait to the bottom...we could have sank the boat with humbolt squid...and we cruised around the island in style, saw blue whales, a really awesome bird, and drank some booze. Nice weekend away from the mainland!
Here is a short video that got some if it:

I flew 1600 miles and spent 5 days in SoCal and all my fishing buddies had something else to do, guess I should shower more.

Sure beats work, eh?

Welder, showers do help. Soap, water, lather, rinse, and repeat.

Pete, ya might say life got in the way .
It worked out very well for everyone but I would have liked to drink a beer with SL Dave.

Mojo and Carol were great and Kenny let me hang with him for 2 days , he had me in Outboard Motor School and boat delivery .

My Mother in law was buried , her Sister had a GREAT 90th B-day party the next day and I drove about 700 miles mostly at night in the wee hours of the morning.

My Butt is still dragging.
