Spent a few days out on the water having fun and catchin some Feesh. Entered the red site"s (BD) Derby for three days of halibut fishin. My Boat won three of the five derbies so far. Two Last year and the first one this year. Not much to report but got limits for all but one day. Reason I did not get my limit of Ling Cod was I kept throwing the average size ones back. looking for the brutes. Was fishing out of LaPush Wa. on the southwest corner of the "C" closure and on the Prairie 32 and 38 miles due west out in the Pacific in 490' to 890' of water. Neat thing is the freezer is full again of the white meat

Hey John,
Great report. Sounds like you had lot's of fun at LaPush . Nice to here the freezer is full of white fish . I haven't tried that deeper water fishing that you talk about often. I have a couple of spots picked out that I want to try this summer. Do you like the new electronics?

Radar works great the side scan sonar has not found the fish that are down there. The Navionics Map Chip and the Loaded Lowrance Maps are not Accurate for LaPush. Both show rocks and I go where they are supposed to be and the structure is not there.
