We have here in NE Fla. loads of Spades and no one targets them. They should since they eat like a Snapper and we're not allowed to keep a Snapper till 2012
My best was 12 pounds on a "fairy wand" rod one time, with a tiny piece of cut squid free-lined behind the boat. I'll take a fish that's up on the top that eats my bait and dives 65 feet on the first run any day.
Was that a legal S.C. Cob??

Limit here 33"fl... this guy... 32". He swims today. Those spades r a blast... and delicious! Easy catchin too
