I didn't fish Petes boat last time I was up, I was on Propnuts ride for the week.

Dman, you and Pete look like your rides are loaded the same , how do your fuel burns compare? Do you carry the same amount of fuel?

Okay, I have to stop looking at pictures now. 82 days left until she goes in the water again, yes I am counting.

Re: A season in rewind - Copy Cat style!
Pete's is a little longer (I know) and has a little longer cab but overall we are close to the same weight I think. He has three tanks and I have two. If he is running two tanks then we run about the same economy. If he had all three full he burns more initially. I haven't needed more than the two tanks but I have come close. On a week trip like you guys did I would probably throw enough fuel on deck to get close to the south end and then would be good the rest of the time.welder wrote:Dman, you and Pete look like your rides are loaded the same , how do your fuel burns compare? Re: A season in rewind - Copy Cat style!
We found out last trip that we don't need to run 700 miles in a week , it's more fun to stay some where around the Oysters, E-bay lodge area and just kick back and hang out.

It took scrolling through two pages of aluminum campers, before I saw some big dead fish hanging.

Re: A season in rewind - Copy Cat style!
You do know that there is more to life than killing fish, right Dave? Us AK boys, running "boats with forts" on our "troutless" adventures, use our boats for other things. Many of us even get of sight of the boat launch...it is a way of life or life style. Hell, we should just park our kids' asses down in front of the TV and let them rot their brains instead of exploring away from the big boat in a kayak and stuffing their faces with fresh blueberries and salmon berries. What the hell are we thinking??!!JETTYWOLF wrote:It took scrolling through two pages of aluminum campers, before I saw some big dead fish hanging. That's all I know.

Those aluminum campers are called "Airstreams". They were real popular back in the day.JETTYWOLF wrote:It took scrolling through two pages of aluminum campers, before I saw some big dead fish hanging.

I spend 80% camping and 20% fishing and I still eat all winter. :-)
Cold again today. Might have to fire up the Espar and do some work in the fort.

Liberal "limits", unlike F-L-A, I'm sure.....I have to FISH, at least twice a week to EAT. Because we can't hardly keep "SHET!"
