insulated kill bags
Do any of you guys have experience with insulated kill bags? I am looking at these:http://www.charkbait.com/cs/csdKillBags.htm
The purpose would be to free up deck space. I will be using them for both groceries and the sea's bounty. Are they as effective as coolers? Currently I use 150 quart coolers.

Re: insulated kill bags
Pete those are good Bags. around $300. They are well made and you can lift them by the handles. They also have a flat bottom.
Bass Pro has some bags for around $100. Do not lift by the handles. They do not standup by themselves.
Use them for tuna fishing. Ice in the morning add warm tuna and they still have ice and cold tuna the next day. The do leak at the seams if you don't run some sealant on the inside at the seams.

Cool John. I might have to give one a try this season. My dance floor gets kind of cluttered when we are out for extended trips. I think that one or two of these might just be the ticket.

I think kill bags work better than coolers because you are not cooling a bunch of dead space,

That makes a lot of sense. We use glacial ice and that stuff lasts a lot longer than store bought.

Re: insulated kill bags
Em air Kill bags can take up a bunch of deck space, at least the coolers we can stand or sit on.
Or are you thinking .....Kill Bags on roof?

Re: insulated kill bags
So you think they have a bigger footprint than 150 quart coolers? I was thinking I could keep one, perhaps two in one of the fish holds. We were a bit cluttered at the last meet and greet.

Man, we were loaded heavy. It was silly how much food we packed. Next time we should eat off the bounty of the sea. We will have to have LFBs, though! And perhaps a prime rib. Save the Mojo steaks for back at the house.welder wrote:I think we should NOT take so much STUFF next time or put more on Dugs boat.
