Been too busy getting things set up to take more pics, but I will follow up.

Engine is the new Yammy 4.2 liter V6 300 hp. Pretty remarkable in that it weighs more than 200# less than the V8 300 and 50 or so less than the F250B. Still breaking it in, but it seems happiest at 4300 rpm (24-25 knots) and indicated mpg is 2.1. Fuel burn is about 14.2/hour at that rpm. Will cruise anywhere from 3900-4400 and get around 2.0 mpg.

Anybody having a problem with the Duckworth Offshore or Weldcraft Cuddy King not really having a self-bailing rear deck??!! My boat sits a little bow down in the water, (even w/fulll fuel) and when if rained a bunch, the water did not drain to the rear, it ended up in the Hull, forward of the factory installed bilge pump!

Could the ply not be used to reduce resonant noise inside the cabin?

I avoid the use of marine ply with alloy boats and prefer to use a hardwood ply. This is because here the marine treatment process soaks heavy metals like arsenic and copper into the wood which tend to leach out and corrode the alloy.

I'm sure the same applies here Speedboats.

Aluminum decks and self bailing, two things all boats should have and be, in my opinion.

The question is, "why not?"
