21' Munson on GSA auction

#1

Post by Illgotoo »

I watched from the sidelines as this Munson CC went for nearly $35K at the government auction yesterday. Nice lines, deep V, hard chine. Former National Park Service boat located in Sedro Woolley, WA. The boat now has a new owner.

Hope the photo comes out...

GSA auctions blow me away, I buy a 21' SeaArk Commander for 16K and this one sells for 35K ??. I was bidding on this boat and not at all disappointed to be outbid at 12K.

That is amazing! I remember an auction way back after the Exon Valdez spill and a whole bunch of stuff came to Tacoma for auction...thought I'd go pick up a nice Lund for my outboard I had in the garage...there were a few there that were just fine...needed some soap and elbow grease...So I got a number and waited until they got to the boats and I placed a few bids...went as high as $500-600...all the boats sold for more than they were being sold NEW by the dealer just up I-5 for about 1200 to 1300...they were used and had some needs...I DON"T GET IT!!!! That's what its all about man . . . precious moments with them while they are young!

Guys, when Josh came to sea trial my Edwing his little boy was a real trooper, it was kind of a snotty day and he was leaning against the transom getting hit with cold spray and we had to 'bout force him to join us under the hardtop. Tough little guy!
