18.5' Stabicraft Supercab
18.5' Stabicraft Supercab
I'm really liking the new Stabicraft 1850 SC. It's a good size for a trailer boat.
A boat this size you could take anywhere: rivers, lakes, bays and islands.
And it would easily fit in your driveway.

We haven't finalised US pricing yet, most dealers know its coming but we are still working through coast guard compliance. It could be a few weeks before we know exactly where we are.
I'll drag a few photos over.
Tim.

Different build methods on this one. Less shoulder where the pontoon (tube) meets the hull. Softer ride.
This bait station will be standard. It has a plumbed live well and cutting board as well as a knife rack and rod holders.

This interior is dressed up. Most buyers here wont have half of what you see.
This last one is one of the more important ones for us and the market
A US made curved single piece armoured glass screen fits here. No one in NZ or Aus could convincingly make these screens for us so we ordered 50.

Re: 18.5' Stabicraft Supercab
Is Stabicraft going to export this model? Will we see one of these 1850SC's at one of the US dealers?

That's the hope. At least one dealer is keen right now. Hopefully more soon.Illgotoo wrote:Is Stabicraft going to export this model? Will we see one of these 1850SC's at one of the US dealers?

Re: 18.5' Stabicraft Supercab
I should have remembered this thread. Sorry about that.
To be honest, I'm not confident it will make it to the US in the short term. The major issue is cost. The way the exchange rate is and taking into account the cost of shipping it looks like it may stay down under. Its a shame as it is a compact little boat that should appeal for the reasons you stated.
If you are keen for us to price one, drop me a PM with your email address and I will see what we can do.

Re: 18.5' Stabicraft Supercab
Too bad. I think that might be the one to catch on. As much if not more than some of the other models.
It is ideal, I think, for people who have to trailer a distance to the water. It's an equalizer. I have a 15' Stabicraft and it rides like an 18' boat. People I take out in it are amazed. I would expect the 1850 to ride like a 22' boat which is what I need for most conditions.
I'll mention this to Paul if I see him this year at the Seattle boat show. Maybe if he hears it enough the policy may change.

That's the spirit. If you miss him, give Marty or one of the sales team the same message. There is nothing more powerful than the customers voice.
