New Eaglecraft Sportfisher 2300

Hi All:
I'm always on the lookout for good boat porn to share with my brothers. Here is a new boat from Eaglecraft. They say it has a 1/4 bottom and 3/16 sides and is built to the same standards as their bigger boats. I wonder about the amount of deadrise in the hull? here you go:

Nice looking boat, but what is point of the space in the bow? I would think if they covered it over and made is accessible from the cabin you could put a porti potti up there. I also do not care for all the diamond plate.

It's purty!

MacCTD, one could fish the bow if the swell isn't severe though I might like a higher rail or even the option of using a bike seat.
I only do what the voices in the Tackle Box tell me to.

I grew up with a eagle craft runabout and they are fantastic boats! Built in campbell river, BC. The sunken bow is great for the inside of vancouver island where theres not much swell. store prawn traps, gear, wet dogs, makes a great platform for beaching on remote beaches. If i had one again I would get a removable aluminum hatch made up for it for west coast trips. The thought of taking a green one over the bow and filling that space up with water would be pretty scarry. I would also put bigger scuppers up there. would love to own one of those boats again!

Some people like chocolate ice cream and some people like vanilla. I think the bow design is the same. And it also depends on what you want to do with the boat. I like the overall look.
