It’s going to be a shock, I am sure...

Moving from our - just sold - Ranger Tug diesel engine (30 hp) to a 115 or 135 hp outboard on our ‘being built’ aluminum boat. I am sure it is going to be eye opening in the amount of fuel/gasoline we use. However, we found that the Ranger didn’t allow us to do what we were hoping to do... like running over to Campbell River or Comox, etc. We just are not the type of boat people to be out all day. So I guess you live and learn and also come to appreciate there is no ‘perfect’ boat or anything for that matter. My wife uses a different analogy, but that’s another discussion.

In a way I am looking forward to being able to strike out more, even if it comes with a higher fuel cost.
