Post by goatram »

The Seattle Boat show is coming again, Waterdog is coming Home and we have not had one since last January' Show.
Any place in particular that is either a diffident place to hold it or not?

Here is a place to get a five day pass and one free parking for $12 total!

Last year we had the meet and greet at the Pyramid Brewery across the street. Jamie was planning on attending the show any others along with Snoot?

Anne and I have reservations for Thursday and Friday at the Silver Cloud just down the street from the stadium. If Pyramid is OK with everyone else, it's fine with us! We love that place! Besides, my birthday is the 27th; hopefully I can punch out of work early on Thursday!

I plan to attend today (Friday).

I'd love to hang out with the AAB crew on Saturday, but regretfully I have to fly out tonight. My flight originally was yesterday but the storm on the East coast cut me some slack. I was able to rebook the flight without extra charges.

Now I have time to search out some heavy metal at the show.

And yes, Jetty, I won't leave home without my camera. :)

-tom

PS - I already got a look at the 38' Cruiser from Eaglecraft. I didn't think I was going to be around so Wednesday I snuck down to the Lake Union docks to get a first-hand look while everyone was at dinner. What beauty, what comfort. I could fit all my small boats into this one and still have room for diving and fishing.

First off I met CWB aka Russ at his booth and He pulled out a awesome Professional Camera where BACK SIDE I The Poor Dumb Damn Yankee was packing a small digital camera that is owned by my wife and she very cautiously let me take to the show. I have broken three this past year. I am not to be trusted with her stuff. If i broke this one I would be divorced.

CWB said that he ran around and took professional pictures with his camera and that he will post the Alloy Porn soon.

Jamie and his Wive (Ann) and Son showed up at the Pyramid Brewer across from Safeco Field. Had a couple of beers and a late Lunch. I had a Buddy, Randy (he has a Alumaweld sled he got last month, traded in his older Windshield Alumaweld.
We talked fishing and of the area waters. He plans to run the boat for the Anachortis Salmon Derby in March. We agreed no pictures too for this one. Pete aka seafood pete and Bob aka Chaps missed a good time.

Tom think you might show next Saturday evening or so at the show. :scuba:

Had a wonderful time at the brewery! The drive up from Rochester was nice, not nearly as long as I thought it would be. Traffic was light, and we found parking right away. Met John and Randy; it was nice to put faces to names. Talked about fishing and the Anacortes Derby. Didn't take much convincing on Johns part- We're in!!

Wish I could have met more of the AAB crew! Thanks for picking up the tab John! I owe you one!!

I attended the Seattle Boat show last Friday.

Most impressive was the Sealegs. A dock is no longer required for those of us with homes on the beach.

This is their alloy boat.

Stabicraft and NDI had aluminum alloy boats.

I also enjoyed the booth with plans for cardboard boats. It doesn't belong here on AAB, but I don't know
the name of the cardboard boat forum. :)

Last Night was the third day at the show for me.
Met Russ and his Dad Bruce of Cold Water Boats. I was up in a 26' Duckworth with a friend after stopping CWB's Booth to show their 33' to him when Russ Showed up coming back from the Beer Hall across the street. Got to talk to him a little. Vance aka Dragonballs talked to him for a few minutes about both the 29' boat that CWB just started and also their 33'. Second time this week I was proved wroooooong on this site. First Bob about the Lowrance and side scan. it will not work with my LCX. another $3000 for the new HDS combo unit with the Side Scan package included. Next year thou the excess boat bucks are spent. Then the 29' CWB Sport model will be built! Pictures please?
