I thought I would post some stuff about these old woodies as I call em. My dad had one when I was a kid but the varnish had worn off etc. I think I'll try restoring it some day as they are a beautiful thing in good condition. Here are some links to this locally made center pin reels.

the father inlaw gave me this box, with all kinds of treasures. plugs with glass eyes, pize reels, and more. used one of the tomic plugs to catch the 27.8 lb spring in the port alberni derby.
