Think again, my bigger is better friends.....Big doesn't always mean expensive, in today's high-tech world.
Especially if the word "Specialty Japanese" is anywhere in the discription.
Today's most high-tech anglers aren't us good ole American's. Hell no!

The smaller fish world has it's shiney marvels too.

And that holds about how many yards of momoi's diamond 80 ?

Drag about enough to put the brakes on a 150 pound pissed off swordfish ?

$ 800.00 and change better show me something besides bling !

Ya have to have your head inside 10 miles offshore....and up the river. Ya know, hunting those little fish that cost 3 gallons of fuel to get too??

So you can afford a Japanese dometic market (JDM) $850 reel....its one or the other. Fuel or reel.

I'd be in for REEL. I dispise long azz boat rides. I'm passing to many fish on the way. (here at least, and in my dream state.....Louisiana)

I've been know to be called, Cappy Gadget in my day.

I think 80 Lb momoi diamond streched to max may crush that wiffle spool !

Looks like a hell of a inshore flatty reel.

Lotta bling too......my accurates are pushing the bling enough for me and my VanStaal is black to kinda hide from eyes.

I should put that VS away ...that was one of the first 150s build in CT way back. Never ever given me one issue. I here ZeeBaas
a callin though !

I have a super light tackle fishing buddy who has many VS's and then he went and got a "gunmetal finish" Zeebass.

That ZB is something the "Terminator" would fish with. Then I was on Tackletour.com one day checking out the enthuisist reel section and came up with a Japanese built one at a time OPUS 1 spinning reel.

Now he's also thinking about that one..."another $1500 egg beater? I asked." "Oh yeah...I love omlets" he replied.
Comes in a aluminum case, with parts, cleaning tools...as if James Bond was a fisherman on holiday!
