who makes it?

I would love to have one in my arsenal. Tuna and Halibut use lots of line and I do use some reels designed for Butts as trolling reels but the star drags and the level line mechanism do not hold up well. Lucky I do not go as often as I would like

Jigging Master reels have earned a strong rep in Japan and among tuna jiggers . Service can be a issue when parts are needed. Strong design and many feature anti reverse dog design which makes them very favorable for all out bouts with big tuna using the very strong jigging rod designs from overseas.

They are pricey but are about equal to Accurate in the small reel design. But the big boys 50 to 130 class are still dominated buy Penn, Shimano and accurate . Fin Nor has started to make some big gains in the past few years too.
The older penn international II reels are still the favorite workhorse because of their simple design but parts are starting to become problematic.
