Saving my pennies and one day one will be mine......... http://www.jiggingmaster-ag.com/view_pr ... .asp?id=18 A bit heavier duty and in action then a Trevela.

500g rod that will be the one and maybe a 250g too.
The first thing I'd do on that charterwould be to throw those seats overboard.

The Japanese have really made an art out of this style of fishing. As a deckhand, I used to throw a lot of salas and tady iron, but these guys have a whole new game going on.

But it sure is a lot of work when its hot.

Think I'll stick to live baits that do most of the work in my old age. :D

Where the hell ya been :?: Making the big bucks I guess.

I posted Jigging Master rods........weeks ago on here.

Me too, but I'll go with an Accurate jig rod just because I know sometimes that SNAP, and I wanna deal with someone right here.

I already had a band new Shimano Trevalla break on the 3rd jig.

I use a mini- accurate B-197 on my rods. Light and easy to work.

Unless you're catching 100 plus pounders I don't think you need a reel over anything but 300 yards of braid.
Here's mine: http://www.accuratefishing.com/products/boss/B197.php

Seen that and it's been in my favorites. They're making some kind of factory modification. Why, I haven't a clue.

more than 1/2 of the stuff "they" do, certainly doesn't apply to me, maybe you....?

Since they have so much YEN to spend these days on traveling the world looking for jigging opportunities, and testing tackle.

And I thought ole Larry Dahlbergs HUNT FOR BIG FISH was the end all.
NOT! not any more. Maybe next the Iraqi's will be next. Globe trotting anglers with all the cash to spend after we get done rebuilding them.

What a cycle....

Jetty that is why I am saving some money a penny at a time. Seems the closest dealer is going online in late August.

Bullshiper/Jeff a deckhand? When/ Where? In the late 80's I did the Freelance out of Davies Locker. You should show us your favorite bait making rigs. Have you tried a Butterfly type jig on the end of your Sabikis gives them some additional action. How about your rig for chasing for those huge PV cows.

Super Dave when we go out try out my Trevela rod it is addicting.

60's. H&M in San Diego-1 summer
Cisco's in Port Hueneme-1 summer

The PV cow rigging is mostly live bait. I used to slow troll small 2-10 lb skipjacks, but now we live line over metered fish or use ballons. I have hooked a few on top water spinners, but the largest fish on a spinner only ran about 120 lbs- the larger models keep breaking me off.

To catch bait we use the micro ahi squids on small planners with long leaders, and while winding in trolled fish, a sabiki jigged over the side will usually pick up more.

Small 20-60 pounders like the feathers.
