Paint or not to paint...tis that the question.

You didn't have too, just wondering why you did?

So you don't have to answer stupid human questions?

Oh that's right, in La. there's lots of AL boats around, so you probably won't get brow beat at the gas station all the way to the boat ramp.

I believe I live in the wrong state....and I'm stuck here now!!

I believe if you pull a trawl here you'll get the SWAT team of jackass Fish & game guys on ya like flies on a dead pogy.
And if you can the beuracratic BS is enough to not make it fun.

I can't type it all, but man if you and me were shooting the sh-t over a beer I could tell ya stuff between here and there that's so damn funny.

I love that boat and of all the ones that get built here on AAB.com yours is the one I wanna see the most.
Cuz, your in La. for one, and because ya'll do MY kinda of water sports there.

I'll be patiently waiting.....(and wishin I was at Lake P or Venice, spanking some fattie T-Routz.)

to paint??
I just think it adds some character. And this is the way the "better" manufacturers do it here. As I learned it anyway.

Lifetyme, Gravois,Gaudet's, and the others that build from plate, paint.
On the other hand, the guys that are using pre-rolled hulls don't usually paint Hanko's, Scully's and Lobell's.

I am a little rusty on Venice, but I can get around without putting us on the bank and enough to catch a few. And I know countless guides that will be happy to get US around when you are ready.

I am looking forward to getting out and getting back on a fishing habit.

I must not be too stylish them...I can't imagine what my paint job would look like right now if so.
My Nyalic coating is all scuffed up. I can see that fer sure.

The guides there are DOUBLE the price they are here. Here you can practically go to the Gulf Stream for what a day of Speck and spot fishing out of Venice, Cocodrie, Big Lake....They get it because in my "Guide Eyes" the fishing looks to be like falling off a stump EZ! Because there's so many damn fish.

I have a customer that fishes there and he said those guys couldn't fish here. They'd be totally wacked out.

Right now under a full moon the tides 5 foot tall at high and runs so fast the if you can anchor you could run a slolom ski'er off you stern in the current!!!!! Try finding any Trout in that??

And a 5 foot tide going to low in 6 hrs versus 12 hrs is some real current! In the fall we'll get 6 footers.

Fire engine red......C'C'Mon. BLOW ME AWAY. I be READY!

GOOD GAWD.....Thats one good looking boat.

I'm all about INSHORE fishing machines, as you can tell. And it seems to really have it going on.

Let me tell ya. From what you have posted so far Gaudet's ought to be paying you!! For the exposure.

Because how else would they ever be seen. I've been completey educated on that style of "bay" boat.

Pathfinder....Shearwater....BlackJack....Baystealth....Bluewave, whatever!! Move the HELL OVER! Get the outa the way!
If only America knew what they could have, instead of going to the dealers lot and picking out a boat just like everyone elses. Like a pair of shoes :rotfl: :rotfl:

When you get a chance. Take a few outside, sitting on the trailer shots. And from your truck bed above looking inside overall.
So I (we) can see the total boats look.

I will have more pictures Friday guys but until then.........
help me with a name?

Or equal just ain't doing it now.
I make a living selling electrical supplies down here in the Gulf, usually breaking the spec with an "or equal" line.
I hate Okonite, ..............but I digress.

How about Simple Peddler?
or Patient Peddler for how long it's taking
my ex wife was named Pennie so I thought No Cents but I do not want to offend my kids, and they are coonass genius so they would piece it together.

come guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

People always ask about boat names, but I believe that's a personal thing.
You can never go wrong with the wife's name, if ya got one that you like...... :rotfl:

I take it from our previous posts that it isn't just a Trout/Redfish killer, but more.

It's always EZ if thats all ya do, is fish.

Actually, "Jettywolf", was a name given to me by the Publisher of a magazine, a local fishing magazine, that I used to write a monthly column for. He couldn't catch a decent fish at the "jetties" that is considered "inshore", so he always went as far as his small 22' CC could take him. Saw him one time when I was mating on a 48' Sportfish charter boat... 58 miles offshore, with a 3 foot VHF antenna!!!!!!!!

That name kinda stuck, and that was 15 years ago. More me, than the boat I guess.

That's how a boat name comes along. Staying away from cutsie and routine, sometimes comes EZ with a boat like you have.
It's probably gonna be very fast, it's red and white, its alloy, and it's relatively custom, that's a good start, too.

BTW....what kinda power does it have?

That is how "Simple Peddler" came to mind.
I was with a group of old buddies a few weeks ago for the Mullet Toss.
A couple lawyers, a land mogul of sorts and some other very successful guys.
We all went to school together from K-12 and still live in the same town, Kinda cool.

Any ways, while some "gals" where all very impressed with what everyone else did for a living, when one asked me, my lawyer buddy said Him? "he's just a simple peddler" and sense I was the only sober one (designated boat driver) the name kinda stuck.

She is going to have 300 Suzuki Ponies on her.

I am getting closer, She is on the trailer, fitting the top now.

My nickname from all these old Podna's from back in the fifth grade is "Klick" so I'm thinking "Klicks Karrier" as well.
seems I carry so many people to and fro the camp. LOL
I would not even be thinking of naming her, but my son 12 is driving me crazy over the name.

I am getting really anxious now. Can't wait to see how she performs.

300 horses. Holy crap.

Seems to me that manufactures making 200-225- or even a 250 ought to just give it up and do outboards up to 150, then just jump to 300, and call it D-O-N-E. I'm seeing more Suzuki's, because of the 300 thing.......I think.

I've always been totally amazed at how the rating for HP go for boats/builders.

A wet close to the water, 17'-18' Hewes flats skiff can run a big 250, while a 23' huge bowed, high sided CC boat can be maxed out at 200?

We just had a big time boating accident here over Easter, with 5 people killed. And I read something in the article about it that the USCG saying something about their ratings for HP, and also while a capacity plate may say, 8 people, but I think it said "a person" is rated at 110 pounds.....they made mention that the 110 pound adult person doesn't much exsist in the USA, so somethings gotta give! Yeah, my boat says "up to 14 persons!!!!!" And 300 HP.....and your's is 300 HP too???? Something in the system is kinda goofy. Comparing the two.

I don't think I'll take the 14 persons, literally. :!:

yea I know what you mean.
When I ran high performance Bass boats back in the day, we were running 260 and up on hulls that weighed in at 1200 or less pounds.

I think the beam on mine warrants the 300. she is going to be close to 10' wide.
with the gill bracket she will be over 26'

It could easily have two 150's but I chose single for cost and skiing. Running around with twins pulling skis is just not that effecient.

We have several fatalities a year on my home body if water and most of the issues revolve around folks that just became "Vice President" of Ponchie and Lefties muckity muck , have a ton of money yet never owned much less drove a boat.

whats absolutely KILLING ME....is that "they" are KILLING the big Trout in Lake P. right now.
Super quality fish, too....up to 7 plus pounds at the Causeway??

And your talkin water ski'ing??????

My Trout go far away from the inlet/salty water here and head up river, while yours do the opposite.

That's what KILLS me again. Summer in the G.O.M / La. Trout are very availible in huge numbers, while it become a snipe hunt here.

That damn GULF OF MEXICO is so different, and I wish I could do a "I dream of Genie" arm cross, nod my head and magically transform myself into a Lake P. guide with loads of steady customers, CUZ TROUT FISHING THERE, is an absolute piece of CAKE!!!!! Heck, Welder could probably catch a limit!

All I'd need is a double wide on a small lot somewhere close to ice & a boat ramp, with a metal boat port. Wheels on or off the doublewide I don't care!! Cause when it blows 150 MPH, I wouldn't have to care about it. Just get me another and continue on.....

It's all about being FOCUSED, like Blinders on a Mule. :deadhorse:
