Air Pumps/Tanks
Air Pumps/Tanks
I was wonder how folks who have tanks for seats and maybe on their truck for airbags felt about the brand/model they have? Any issues and concerns and advice? My purpose is to run a system on my truck to pump up tires, run air horns and maybe suspension airbags. I have a perfect place under the bed pax side forward...thx for any info and comments. If you have AIRBAGS, which ones and comments, pls. THX PJ

Re: Air Pumps/Tanks
Capt. I have a VAir compressor and tank. 1 Gallon size on the Tin Lizzy. A 10% duty Cycle. 1 Minute on then 10 Minutes off. The Firestone compressor is what I have in the New boat. I took it out of the Tin Lizzy. It is a 30% cycle comp. I got another 1 gallon storage tank. Autoanything.com has the compressors kits starting at $150. I would use the bigger heavier duty ones for what you are talking about using it for. There are different pressure switches that turn the control the start and stop of the compressors.

Pjay9,
Check out our air compressor systems on the manufacturers links on this site or go to our website http://pacificpowertraininc.com/product ... essor-kit/ our compressor is similar to the Viar 450H model only much less expensive. Check out the site above goatram suggested and then check out our product and see what you think.

Re: Air Pumps/Tanks
THX for the info and the link. Now I need to look inot what the air bags for the truck requires...some have cab balance switch panels...wonder if that will mate up to another system.
Also to feed the air horns I need a switch/valve that opens when hit the horn...that would go in place of the little centif pump that feeds them really weakly...it would be nice to have a nice blast from these horns...they came off a large yacht for free...I cleaned them and replaced the diaphram and voila they worked...on boat there was a 30 gallon tank in the hold to feed them...NICE BLAST! That's what I want again and to power rear airbags.
Mark do you have that sort of swtch/valve. Do you do installs? THX PJ

Yes, we have a 12 volt pneumatic selector switch that could route air to your horn. No we are not set up to do installation. Check out the selector switch we use to route air to pump intake stomp grates http://pacificpowertraininc.com/product ... grate-kit/ it will work great to operate your horn and will work with any push button 12 volt switch. Call Doug at 509-243-7840 and he can help you.
