deck paint color

Mooringman was telling me the other day how hot his deck gets in the summer. That it is impossible to walk barefoot. After my little repair in ST Thomas we painted the deck Sherwin Williams "Emerald Ice ". It was a very light shade of green, almost white. On the one day we got to use the boat for fun, everyone was barefoot and no one complained. I may paint the deck of my own boat that color for next year. If it works in the Caribbean ,how bad can it be here in the NE.
