Slug,
You have now opened up a can of worms...or, er...slugs!
We will all be looking for a boat for you. No pressure...it is just alot of fun for me to look for boats!
With all the details and sellers price of the other boat you were looking at, I think you made the right decision. Be patient and you will find exactly what you want at a price that makes you feel good for years.

The details listed for the boat are from the current Pacific 2325 and list the hull as an 18 degree deadrise.
I can not tell from the pictures as several of them are slightly squeezed, but many of the boats from that year were 14 degree hulls. I don't know how much of a difference it makes...just curious now.

yea i dunno. He asked why I was passing on the boat and one of the items I mentioned was the deadrise. I told him I called pacific and checked the HIN and they indicated it was a 14 degree deadrise and that they switched the 18 later in the year.
Maybe he called pacific and got a different answer...I hope thats the case, otherwise he is just trying to deceive someone based on why a previous buyer didnt take the boat. That would be like "nah, too many hours on the motor..." so he relists it with fewer.

something tells me this gentleman will be sitting on this boat for some time.........
There is a used Pacific that went through Katrina over at ArcTek Marine Welding in Clinton, CT. I don't know what size or who owns it, but worth the inquiry. Jim is a good guy........
From what I remember the boat needs some repair work................

Yeah from what I remember it didn't look bad either. Don't remember what it had for power, but I believe it's there....................slug420 wrote:wait....are you telling me a pacific sustained damage in a measley cat5 hurricane? Slug,
My eyes are wide azz open now....thanks to SL Dave posting the Ebay Motors link and visiting the photo album.
Man, you can do so much better for the $$. That boat of course is very different than mine. No shelves, not a full transom swim platform, it looks beat, and kinda "rigged" if ya get my drift.
That 2025 in Washington is the same price basically, and so much cleaner and slick.
Keep looking, someones bound to drop out of the alloy boat world. Even if it's not a Pacific.
Looking at that boat, sure makes me glad to always want NEW, my way.

its actually worth a little less now (IMO) since the motor is out of warranty. When I was looking at it it had a few weeks of warranty left so I could have saved like 1k+ on extending the warranty since it hadnt expired. You can still do it now but it will cost u more and you cant extend it for the same amount of time.
