It's Been Four Years.........

Well it has been Four Years since Marty has passed. Marty always stressed Boater Safety and Taking our Service Men, Women and children fishing. I think of Marty and what he embodied with his actions.
It is a big Ocean out there and I wish everyone take heed in improving their boating safety and actions. I know I have been guilty of being lax on safety. How many of us have gone out with friends and family..... But never go over some basic procedures if something goes wrong????? Proper radio protocol???? Man overboard???? Proper reading of compass or GPS coordinates. Number one issue wearing a proper PFD????
Giving thanks to the people who risk so much in protecting our freedoms at home and abroad. Maybe taking a kid fishing. A Serviceman or Servicewoman who does not have the opportunity or resources to go fishing and is stationed a long ways from home.
I know if Marty was alive today he would smile and whole heartedly endorse such discussion or actions.
I know I have not embodied what Marty has done but will give it my best effort in the coming year. As long as I feel this way after so many years the Spirit of Marty McMillan lives on.
