we used to have 340 gallons in are old 30 x 10'6" glass boat with twin D-4 volvo's and sometimes I wish
I had more. We do over 120 miles on some day trips and if it's a weekend deal you want enough gas to run a round a bit. can't ever have too much:)

speaking of fuel tanks.

Back last May we were discussing fuel costs. Here in J-ville Fla. plain ole regular unleaded was $4.25

What's unleaded now in AK?

A theme here on AAB.com........"Alaska's where all the rich folk must live."

She sure is coming along fast. I look forward to hearing the performance numbers and perhaps taking a test cruise if you make it to the Sound or I make it to Seward.

I think regular unleaded is about $2.35 or so here in town. It is usually about $.70 a gallon more in the harbor that I frequent. I saw $5.17 a gallon last summer. Rural communities saw better than $8 a gallon for unleaded and more for heating oil. Pretty crazy. I am hoping for $3 a gallon fuel this season. Currently we cannot access Whittier, AK due to a massive rock slide covering the road. They have been working on it for a couple of weeks, but have run into a lot of unstable rock. I suspect that there will be limited travel in a week or so. I sure hope it is cleared soon. I am out of shrimp and glacial ice!
Spending my kids inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

Very Impressive fleet you've got going there. Too bad Edwing is making boats any more; sound, sturdy, made for duty.

Thanks, I sold the cat, need to change my sig. The Edwing is tough as nails, not the most refined boat by any means but tough. I'll likely sell it here soon when the repower & upgrade of the laConner is finished (which is even more studly than the Edwing IMO). Welcome to AAB BTW.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled forum discussion of the Armstrong Cat

Man, I guess I need to check in more often, logged on and find Chaps has done snuck off and had hisself a new boat built. Those guys look like they know exactly what they're doing. I can see from the flat bar around ring frames she's built massively strong. The channel stringers up fore are impressive also. Who's the designer? Is topside standard AK with large house, forward sloping windows?

Nice.

bottom plate is .025 and the side panels are .190. looking for a 28-31 knot cruise depending on load. Anywhere in that range and I'll be real happy. I'll have some more pics toady.
