Good Stuff!

For those of you who don't know me I am the silent guy in the background on AAB but am more vocal on TBR (AAB's Sister Site). But figured I would share my "Google Adwords" story here too.

For those of you who don't know owners of websites (and companies) can pay google to advertise their websites on other websites that are keyword specific.

These ads are displayed on other peoples websites who google then pays in order to use the advertising spot (not a lot I tell ya).

Well long store short, I was on TBR this morning and what did I see.....

And advertisement for one of the main sponsers over here on AAB Rocksalt Boats!

Kind of funny to me how large the internet is, but how truly small it can be when using keywords!

Now with that being said, Jay you can make your checks payable to The Burning Reel to continue to advertise on TBR. HA HA!

Keep up the great work over here. Site is coming along nicely!!

Matt,
I know all too well about adwords etc. and all that....about $350 per month worth.
(absolutely kills me financially)

But I didn't get what ya said....I'm still confuzzed. :?

What is the auction thing you have over yonder on TBR??

I need to get rid of the Okuma rods I put up TBR and here. Can I run an auction on them. I'm replacing the (4) brand new Okuma's with (2) custom made Biscayne 8 footers, from down in south Florida.

Thanks,

Jetty,

Typically the auction stuff over on TBR is used to raise money for both TBR & Charity. So I have not yet run one for sale for a member, but might down the road.

Have you considered ebay? The only reason I say that is you can set a reserve and get a price you are looking for and there are tons of people over on eBay compared to TBR's few hundred thousand. Oh wait what??? HA HA...

Let me know,

Matt

I'm sorry I read it wrong!!! I thought you said you did get it.. Let me try to explain this with a picture!!!

Not sure if this helps or ever answers what you were asking but here goes.

You can set a limit to adwords.. with TBR I spread it out, I put $50 / month with Google & $50 / month with MSN and so forth!

More confused.. so am I.. wait what?

I get how the adwords stuff works. Been there done that...

quote: "Well long store short, I was on TBR this morning and what did I see..... And advertisement for one of the main sponsers over here on AAB Rocksalt Boats!"

so you saw an ad for what AAB.com or Rocksalt boats???

Long question, short.
