Rock Salt 29'

Post by Challenge »

Hi Folks,

I took a test ride on the Stamford Police 29' Rock Salt. It is a very impressive boat, It jumped on plane (twin 225 opti's), tracked very well, and didn't seem to have too much deep v rock 'n roll. I had a flat calm day so I was looking for wakes to "play in" but it is very difficult to see any boats to throw up a big wake near a police boat. We kept on getting the "what did I do?" look. The boat does very tight circles with no cavitation and we were able to play in our own wake.

The fit and finish were great, the photos from the show didn't do the boat justice. The wiring was first rate, and it really seems like the boat will hold up for at least 20 years of very heavy duty. I also really liked the "bead blasted" finish, It looks great and no glare, I wonder how it will look after the aluminum oxidizes.

Please let me know if I can answer any specific questions.

Now I just have to think hard on cabin layout & power.

Thanks to Jay and the Stamford marine Police for being so accommodating.

Cheers

Rick

Rick,

A nice 29' Cabin model would look absolutely beautiful on a mooring over in Quonnie

How did you make out with your metal cabinet :?:

Yes Yes it would - maybe a 30' walk around v-berth, small head (for the women), foldable nap seat along the transom.

My Grady is on the market, I'm talking to Bill L. about the design, I plan on going with just my pond boat for a season or two and then maybe... Unless the dictator (in chief not - my wife) decides to go more crazy on more spending :hammer:

Cheers
