Aluminum dealers

#1

Post by Jakew »

I'm in the north Texas area and I am building my own boat. My question is I am needing the best place to get the aluminum and have it bent for the bottom and sides. Any ideas where to get this done? It's much appreciated!

Yeah, he is my Son in laws friend and lives about 5 miles from me, just picking some brains here. I know of two companies in the States that do what he needs, just looking for more options.

There are couple places up my way that do that stuff. But shipping costs would put a big dent in the budget. Alloytoy mentioned one place, but I forgot the name. With all the boat builders on this forum I am sure there can be solution.

Source and service in one location and have the finished product shipped to you: http://www.teskolaser.com/services.html

Purchasing plate alloy in Chicago shouldn't prove difficult given the marine industry along the Great Lakes' ports.

The sales people in the plate warehouses all know the local fabricators that cut, bend, etc., same here in Seattle.
