Keep them coming! I notice on the lifting streaks, they appear to be spot/dash welded...why? Are they going to be completely welded? PJ

Wow, looks awesome, are the chines reverse down at 6 or 10 degrees or flat, and what is the dead rise? Never mind, I see the 10 or so degree down turn. That thing will be a great riding stable drifting fuel efficient fish killing machine.

Russ,
What do you guys use for software for all your design work? Do you do all your own cutting in house??
Beautiful work......

Re: Cold Water 3500 Walk Around Build
PJ. Up until now we have always fully welded the strakes. We will be adding there noses but we are not going to fully weld these. When fully welded we have added tapped drains. Aside from more work, outr concern is that water will adventually get in and the owners have not been very good about removing the plugs to drain. 6 strakes at an average of 20+ ft x 2 welds on each side = lots of welding....
Fisherman. There is more chine of this boat than our average. It is 10" at the transom and a 10 degreee down.
ReelSong. 20 degree constant deadrise. It is a good combination for this size/weight/length of boat.
Tracy. Not alot of drawings that I have sized for the web.
AT. We own all our design. But the work has been performed by SpecMar and Bill Lincoln on the east coast. We do some in house design work for smaller parts, I will have to see what program he is using. Router cutting is performed at K&K industries out of Bellingham.

Re: Cold Water 3500 Walk Around Build
YqoRuss they look good on line but but are better looking in person.
Did your brother split the Fish Flashers with you?
.
Second question is what did Brandon do with the Piranha locks that i passed to him? His eyes lit while i was there thinking of how to use them?
www.piranhalox.com
These locks are cool and will allow quick reconfiguring of the deck, as hold downs, mounts for fish cleaning tables, rod holder mounts, and fire extinguishers. Strong units made on a CNC Machine.
I am posting this from my phone so i do not know if the link works.
It's 1:10 in the morning and I can not sleep, Laying in bed in the hospital had my right hip cut out and the new one installed. I have new Alloy hips installed. Hopefully I will be ready for May and fish for Halibut, Ling Cod and Seabass out of LaPush.

John, THANK you for the hook-up on those gizmos.
And thanks for the photos, since I'm a klutz and dangerous with anything more than hand tools, it is easy to admire such a beautiful creation.

What a beautiful build. Everywhere I look is shiny bright aluminum!
What a great looking boat. There is a lucky owner out there somewhere.

I really like those Baywelds. The lines are just so awesome. Very "Alaskan" so I may say ha ha. Tough and functional.jrogers wrote:Russ,

Sorry for the hijack.
