Deere dealer?

#1

Post by buck3 »

I am looking to Repower my boat with a John Deere, and I am looking for a "honest" ( I know) dealer who I can get a few bids from.

I got my first quote back from Hatton in Ballard, but they came up with 250 hrs at $109 per so $27,250, which doesn't include machine work or the $10,000 worth of "consumables i.e. hoses and hose clamps"

So I am not really willing to pay out $80k for a $20k motor, but I haven't really worked with many Deere dealers

Try the Shipwrights CO-OP in Port Townsend, I believe they are a Deere Dealer.

Hatton is very good, but also try Gregg's diesel in Anacortes and Tri-County in Bellingham. Here is also a good link for others as well.

Also be prepared, reality is diesels aren't cheap, but you can expect to burn 1/2 the fuel and a Deere will run 12-30k+ hours if well taken care of and properly installed/applied.
