pacific fuel pick up

Just had a friend call me with a problem with the fuel pick-up on his boat. Seems the use of a brass fitting into a white metal (not magnetic) failed.These are the boats with plastic fuel tanks. So if you happen to have one check this out before it fails at a bad time. Have not seen this problem discussed on any forum before,hope info helps someone PS Alloy Toy is going to make replacements for us

Which Pacific's have plastic tanks? Thought they were all aluminum..

I believe up to and including 2004s, aluminum tanks started in 2005.
