BF 250 Honda

Well even with my broke leg , the boat work continues. This past Saturday part of my normal crew showed up at the boat for a Salmon trip. They prepped the boat and started engines. % minutes the Starboard engine alarm sounds. The call me i tell them to check filters. No water. but they find the water fuel separator bowl on the engine suspect. they dry it and apply liquid tape to the bowl and the wires coming out of the bottom. They return the access engine to normal but fail to check the engine that day. It was cold wet and dreary.

Sunday morning I get a call at 6:39 saying the alarm is sounding. I send my wife for the Engine Shop Manual. I finally find out that the MIL light is flashing Bad and the horn is a long 5 sec beap? Voltage from the alternator is 14 Volts Next thing is the O2 Sensor. Boat was left to Idle for 3 hours two weeks prior. This might of killed the O2 sensor. Last night I sent Dave a buddy of mine to pull the boat and deliver it to Defiance Marine for repair. It is in their hands to confirm and change the sensor or something.

Suxs to be down for the count but at least I am alive and kicking

John, I had both sensors go out on my 225's at the same time on the Norvelle for no apparent reason. It's a known problem and Honda has extended the warranty period on these.

Mine are around 350hrs currently. Jeff; JD should have fixed by next weekend. No later than the 5th in time for the WTC, i.e. the Washington Tuna Classic.
