New Wooldridge 17' Alaskan XL !!!

#1

Post by glen wooldridge »

Wooldridge Boats is proud to announce a new addition to the ever popular AK XL series of boats! Evolved from the 20' XL, the new 17' version is sure to please river runners everywhere. It's incredibly wide bottom (76") matched with Wooldridge's tunnel hull allows the new 17' model to run shallower, get on step quicker, sit level and track better. Free drifting for salmon and steelhead is very popular these days and in order to have a 17' boat that can do this you have to have bottom width. The new 17' XL has the most bottom width that we know of in this length! Here is a few pictures of the build so far.............

Hull thickness is 1/8" with an addtional 12" wide 1/8" thick doubler through the center planning surface to create a composite total of 1/4" down the middle.

Max hp power rating is: Jet=150, prop=140, tiller=90

MacCTD- No, it is not self-bailing. The price for the open model w/ 36 gallon fuel tank, bilge pump, running lights, gas/water seperator, steering system and console, power source panel, front deck (fish box optional), sport rails, extra wide 10" rod trays would run $16,999.00 - Glen

Here is a finished picture of the 17' AK XL! Motor is on it's way but it will be equipped with a 115 Mercury Optimax tiller. Picture shows an optional fish box and standard 10" side trays.

This boat will be featured in the annual Puyallup Washington Sportsman show on January 25th thru January 29th.

Here are some on the water shots of the Search & Rescue boat. Notice how level it sits.

HI Al, I know Danny is getting you some info on this hull. Really sweet boat for the small rivers that still has soo many big boat features.
