Barrett marine
Does any body ever heard or know anything about Barrett Marine Co. out of Auburn Wa?
They were at the Portland sportman show and had a bare 22' open boat there. I believe that they use Cope or Pollard for the designs for there boats.

Re: Barrett marine
Wow that looks awesome!
Looks like the Aerohead/Conrad Marine/Jarek Kronois design.

Never heard of them before. I like the powderhorn shearline. Will be interesting to keep an eye on. Thanks for posting.
Re: Barrett marine
Must be using same NA, look how the lowest rub rail wraps around from the hull onto the outboard bracket - same on both boats.

Re: Barrett marine
they are in the process of building a 2285 ocean (22'x8.5' deep V) right now and I hope to go up and look at it in a few weeks. I will take pics and try to get some more info on them.
Re: Barrett marine
Can you confirm who their designer is?
There is another builder or two using his designs. Interesting if you could compare the build quality while using the same designs.
Seems like they got their start in the fuel tank industry.

Re: Barrett marine
Aerohead was based out of Auburn when they were operating. I would be suprised if they weren't giving it another try. They weren't the easiest to work with.
Re: Barrett marine
I would say probably not- They started XTAERO boats

Re: Barrett marine
the design that I am looking at "24' ocean" is a Cope design They are using 5052 for the hull sides. Is this something to think about upgrading (to 5086) if I was to go with them?
Re: Barrett marine
If it is an option and not too expensive it should be considered particularly if you plan on leaving the boat in saltwater seasonally or year-round. Either alloy should be protected with a proper epoxy primer/bottom paint job if that is the case and adequate aluminum anodes securely fastened to the hull.
