Interior Paint For Alloy Boats

#1

Post by ehsvp »

What paint scheme are people using to paint the interior of their boats? I was thinking about Zolatone paint but I can't find anyone on the forum who has used the paint or wants to write about it. I specifically want to know what kind and brand of primer people are using on the interior of their boats.

All the coating companies publish info on "systems" which includes prep & prime recommendations for different top coats that they make. Generally if you are going to sandblast first then epoxy primers work the best but do some research on the manufacturers websites or talk to the dealers that sell the product and you'll get your answers.

I would encourage anyone interested to talk to RMC in Seattle. They coat the interiors of Safeboats and some wooldridge boats.
