Shrink wrap concerns
I may have to store my Pacific outside this winter, thinking of shrink wrapping it down to the chine or just to the rub rail, I am concerned the shrink wrap could trap water and discolor the aluminum on the sides of the hull. Has anyone had this happen or is it something I should not be concerned about? Thanks.

Mac, if the wrap will see wind- then it tends to shift, flutter a bit and 'shine' the sheer/rub rail where the plastic turns down over the rail.
We usually see a shrink job, with straps under the bottom, where the plastic ends just below the sheer-rub rail. That is where we see some wind effect if there's going to be any? They do have a vent fitting to allow a well wrapped boat to breath - and zippered doors so you can get in and out of the wrap too.
Not sure of your winter weather or location so just some notes about what we see here in SC AK.
