Remove Foam On Wheel?

#1

Post by Tin Cup »

Greetings,

On my '04 Pacific, the stainless wheel is coated with a grey grip foam that is starting to get crunchy and nasty. I'm thinking I could cut most of it off with a blade and then clean it up using a solvent. Seems like a perfectly good SS wheel under the foam, rather then buying a new wheel.

Has anyone tried to remove this foam?

Thanks!

I believe I have my Pacific wheel somewhere I took off my boat, you can have it, I will try and find it, I think it is in decent shape.

Try acetone, or a torch. If that doesn't work, try them together.
