Howdy - new (old) 17 ft Bayrunner

Post by Pirate-1 »

My son and I just picked up a 1985 Valco Bayrunner Baja with a 70 hp Johnson 2 stroke. Kind of a project because it's in kind of rough shape and needs some work but mainly to get the grandsons (2 and 4 years old) started fishing. I'll probably be asking a few questions as we go along here. Just wanted to say "howdy" for now. (the two pirates in the new (old) boat)

BTW - I forgot to mention. Back about 12 years ago I owned a 19ft Valco Bayrunner with a 50 hp Honda 4 stroke. Ended up selling it because we just didn't use it enough to justify it. Pretty close to what this boat is (2 ft smaller and 20 hp more on this one). Don't they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over...LOL.
