I pull my boat to FLA and back to MA every year, 2400 total miles. I've done this with several different makes of boat trailers. In the past I've had tie down straps break, bearings give up, lights go out, bearing buddies fly off and flat tires to name just a few. It seems that no matter how much I plan, something decides to break. I would suggest, after checking everything before you leave, adding a set of bearings to the tool box, some grease, a few inexpensive ratchet straps and a pack of zip ties! Zip ties are the modern day duct tape in my book and if you have enought of them, you can fix anything in a bind. Best of luck on the road.
By the way, Waffle House or Craker Barrells are usually well lit, have plety of parking, and have good coffee for those late night or early morning repairs.
