i notice this link dont get much so i thought i wld share my old trk finally getn fixed. deer damage from about 3 yrs ago along w bad clear coat. usin the excuse to update the trk a lil. bought this thing new in 2000 and has been a flawless companion. not even a headlight in almost 13 yrs. original belt brakes etc one set of tires never rotated or aligned. 138000 mostly towing so i guess she deserves a facelift. i'll finish the fitment of new lights grille etc over the wknd and mon she hits the paint shop. no aluminum here but a post w pics just the same

shes a gasser. 2000 f250 5.4 v8 4r100 tranny 4.10 limited slip rear. not one repair... ever. oil changes every 5000 nothin else. interior is perfect and i love drivin it anyway but i am excited about the body lookin sharp again. the only acc i have inside is a backup cam and a tiny bit of camo material at the bottom of the door panels. people r shocked at that as i have been in 12 volt sales and installation for 25 yrs. stock 6 disc radio intact. i dont tamper much. stock exhaust no programmers etc. i have a bit of a knack for getn good life out of things by not abusing. current tires have 85000! not an overly exciting build but somethin to look at and a lil action for this section of the forum anyways!

Only Oil changes??? What about the rest of the normal maintenance items??? Trans fluid, serpentine belt, spark plugs, rear differential fluid, engine air filter, fuel filter??? Lacking on these other items can spell "DISASTER".... :titanic:

trans service at 65000 k&n filter installed when new.. washed a cpl times rad flush n change once. nothin else.. belt looks good motor runs great mpg as good as ever. will do spark plugs soon as well as trans service again. 65000 intervals as per manual. got both headlights cut in and grille fitted. no pics today but ready for paint shop monday. at last inspection brakes still look good and tires r becoming a bit dry. new wheels and tires r to be part of my upgrades. this truck is not neglected it merely hasnt required anything outside of fluid service since new. i do all service to it myself. a bit ocd and cant sleep at night if i dont touch things for myself :banghead: hands always washed before touching steering wheel
