The most "un" Trouty.....

Post by JETTYWOLF »

It's summer here folks....No it's not even spring. Spring lasted a week, maybe.

Now's the time for all the species we haven't seen since last October.

-Spanish Mackerel
-Jack Cravalles

And POMPANO! A highly prized gamefish. Especially when they're big like this one, and especially when caught on my "float-rigs" and a live shrimp along the Jetties.

Here's #5 caught this week and the largest.

Ed Smith from Ohio caught this beauty first thing in the morning, while "of course" looking for Trout.
But his wife got the 1st one of those. No big. But as ANGLERS do, we target and then get lucky sometimes.

No day's complete with a few Sheepshead along those BIG stones we call Jetty rocks.

I actually got my dad on the Jettywolf last Saturday and he caught the GATOR Trout of the morning on the last shrimp in the livewell. Mr. "motor-head" goes catchin.....

X2 big time. I'm very jealous. I wish I could go in board shorts and sandals all year. I might get 3 days a season I can do that. Next time this summer I'm going to make sure I dress like Dave and post some WCVI almost Floridian shots. :joecool:

Nice fish Jetty. Keep up the good work man. I know if I ever get the chance to come over "that" way your the man to see for catching things. I would absolutely love to go fishing with you.

Cheers,

It's okay, you can always be like Welder, and while fishing in 110 degrees in the shade in the GOM wearing heavy jeans and probably "work boots".

I'm not in flip-flops...my feet can't take them while standing for 8-10 hrs a day. I wear seriously cooshy Rockport shoes, with socks, and my ONLY shorts brand is AFTCO Bluewaters!

More coming...
